Back to work 1 week...lost 3lbs overnight!

I'm 1 week post-op today and returned to work this morning (desk job). Still a little weak and have a dizzy spell now and then. So far so good today. Just have to watch those dizzy spells and stay close to a wall or something to hold on to as I walk around the office.

Now for some useful info for newbies like me 1 week post-op....
Yesterday I spent the day out and about in preparation of going back to work today (wanted to see if I was ready).  Anyway I found my energy came in short spurts and I had to take a few breaks during the day.  I also found myself leaning against a wall now and then when I over did it and got a little dizzy.

This morning I got up for work and stepped on the scale. Wow...3lbs gone overnight.  I think what may have contributed to this was yesterday, when I was expending energy, my body started screaming for calories to convert to energy. When I didn't eat to provide those calories, it had no alternative but to start burning fat to convert to energy.  Just my own opinion but make sense to me. Now that I'm back at work, I'm going to test this to see if I can't increase the initial weight loss rate.

I returned to work 1 week post op also.  I had issues with dizzy spells and it was a result of not getting my fluds in.  I ended up putting a timer on my phone and setting it to go off every 10 minutes.   My first weeks were planned to the minute while at work, and as time passed I found it easier to be a bit more flexible, but sometimes do go back to the timer.

Hey Sport!  First, congrats on your progress and success post-op.  I also had some dizziness and got tired very quickly my first few days back to work.  I too went back to work after 1 week and yes, I too have a desk job.  However, my first week, I only worked 1/2 days.  When I got home those first few days, I laid down and was out...taking a nap during the middle of the day during the week is unheard of for me!

Great suggestion on setting the clock or timer for every ten.  We all need to get into "good" habits, so they then become part of our regular routine.

Keep up the great work and Be HEALTHY!
