Well, seems this is all coming into full view now, will be undergoing the RNY procedure on Wednesday morning..      Besides the pre-op wieght loss required (10%) im starting my pre-op diet today..    Basically the soft foods and liquids today..   Will be strictly clear liquids tomorrow and then a full cease on intake after midnight the morning of Surgery..    I hope they wont be running late at the hopsital LOL...     I have to say that I am much more curious and interested in the procedure than I am nervous..      Of course there is that chance there could be complications..  but heck..    Life is full of risks and dangers no matter what we do...      Im also aware that this wont be too comfortable either and that for the first couple weeks afterwards.. there is a good chance I will be thinking WTH have I done here..   But going in, I am already expecting this possability and am already psyching myself to overcome it if it happens..  !!         Ive been reading a good deal of the info here on OH and am greatful for all those who are participating and willing to share thier advice and support...   Thanks to you all in advance for all the help and support...

I'm not 4 days post-op after RNY lap surgery. I'm really amazed at how much easier it was than I expected. Not a lot of pain and was able to start walking (unassisted) a few hours after surgery.

I understand your concern about the unknown. But for me, it was like no big deal.

Best of luck and keep us updated on your progress.
