New drivers license pic - Now people will believe who I am.

For four long years, I carried it with me.  My driver's license photograph was the only visual record of what I looked at when I weighed more than 500 pounds.  Since my WLS, most people did a double take when I had to show them my ID.

This week it came time to renew my license.

Other than the lines they put on my face to prevent counterfeiting, I'm pretty happy with it. I was going to rent a tux for the occasion, but then thought all you would see is the bow tie. But I put on a regular tie. Most people hate the pic on their license. Since I have to carry it around for four more years, I thought I'd put a little effort into trying to look my best.

I'm travelling to the states in a few days.. so hauled out my passport
I looked at the picture 100 pounds plus and am wondering if they are going to give
me a hassle at the border.. I could show them my driver's license picture, but it's also from 100 pounds plus.. They'll just have to believe me.

 Congratulations Hercules!  You look great!

When my wife and I went to Europe in September, the Swiss immigration officer really questioned me about my passport picture.  I explained that I had lost a lot of weight.  It was kinda fun in a really weird sort of way.  My wife was a little afraid they weren't going to let me out of Europe.  He He He

A few years back, before I considered WLS, I had lost about 100 pounds through another diet...    Well..   At the time, my picture was on my bank ATM card..  I was on vacation in Las Vegas and had been there a couple days when suddenly I found my bank card was no longer working...  I knew I had cash in the bank but had no clue why the card was being declined...   I called the bank and found out that they had de-activated my card..  Why..  Because a casino called in and told the bank that the person who was using the card was NOT the person who was in the photo..      I did not have a cell phone at the time and the bank had called my home phone several times to confirm..  But since I was in las vegas, I didnt answer my home phone LOL...     So they just went ahead and voided it..     I was in Las vegas.. and had to find my bank to withdraw cash because they could not re-activate the card..    I had to have one mailed to me...     Was a complete Cluster !!!     LOL
