Viagra/Levitra after lap-band
I'm wondering if Levitra's blood-flow improving effects may be affecting the band area in addition to the intended - um - target. I'm not particularly complaining, just curious if other guys have noticed this effect. I'm 6 months post-surgery, down 65 lbs.
There is no doubt about it. I am 100% certain, with no possibility of being wrong, that Viagra makes me get stuck with food. I'm absolutely positive about this.
It's actually worse, though. Liquids also sometimes get stuck if I don't drink them slowly. But food, even soft food, even well chewed food, will always get stuck.
I take half a pill, for what it's worth. Also, the effect appears to last for 2-3 hours. I've just resigned myself to not eating for a few hours after taking Viagra.
LONG time, no talk, guys. I've continued to experience the Levitra effect. I'll be switching insurance this January 1 (2015 already!) to a carrier that covers both Viagra and Cialis. I'll try to get back to you all with whatever results I get... whether they're changes or not.
It's been four years since our most recent discussion on this... anybody have any news that they hadn't come back to report on? thanks!
Has anyone found an ED medicine that doesn't cause these problems yet? I have the exact same problems but it's extreme to the point where I can't even drink without having to sick it back up because I'm completely stuck. Also, it's lasts almost 24 hours. If it was a 2 or 3 hours like some people have mentioned I'd have no problem at all. Thanks in advance.
I have these exact symptoms. I have tried researching other solutions, but have not had any luck or resolution. In fact, I have found very little info on this topic.
I, too, cannot even drink water for around 24 hours. I get very dehydrated as a result.
Has anyone found a solution or workaround for this??

BTW...my lap band was approximately 18 years ago. I was 300 at inception and now maintain 180-185.
Yes, I just recently experienced the same issue. I was heading out on vaction and my doctor provided me with the Levitra three pill free trial. After taking the pill I noticed the same thing you're talking about. The intended effect of the pill was a good thing, but the intense restriction of food/liquids was a bit disconcerting.
You mentioned that you did not experience the same issue with Viagra, would you say that Viagra works as well as Levitra? If so it may be worth trying Viagra.
