WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Yeah Baby! So a little excited here! Ive been looking into a VSG for about 3 years and now just found out today a few minutes ago, that my insurance will pay for me to get it! But the Dr. I want to use Dr. Eric Pinnar, is out of network, so they won't cover me.
But the Dr's office said they are adding a new surgeon to their practice who is going to be in network within the next 6 months, thus meaning I CAN GET IT DONE!
I have to do the 6 month diet thingy anyways so in 6 months Im hoping to have a surgury date.

Most WLS surgeons have years of general surgery under their belts before they study to become weightloss surgeons. More people are going with the VSG than in years past. It is a very sucessful surgery. Also if you become non complient (or have weight regain), it can be converted to a more drastic surgery (more malabsorption...DS or RNY). Good luck and glad you found the Men's Forum and the VSG Forum. There will be very few surprises come surgery date. Brian
