How do you get rid of belly fat?

A couple weeks ago I heard a doctor say that having a "pear shaped" body is an indicator that you are at risk for health problems like heart disease.  Today. Dr. Oz said that a man's waist should be half his height.

That means I need to lose three and a half inches from my waist.

I don't know if any of my girth is from hanging skin. I haven't had plastic surgery.

About the only exercise I get is riding my road bike about 22 miles a day.

Anyway.. does anyone have any first hand experience on waist size reduction either in the form of diet or exercise?

You can't really spot lose inches in any particular area. If you have an area that you would dike to lose, you just have to lose more weight overall. I would bet that plastics would help with your 3 inches. However, with the success that you have already had, I would just keep working the program and not worry too much about Dr. Oz.

I was pear shaped until I had a LBL and chest reduction then I had a nice V shape. My thighs are a bit big from excess skin, but whatever...it's no big deal.

I thought it was "apple shape" that was the high risk because so much fat is around internal organs. I am an apple and even as I lose I still have a huge abdomen/belly. I wi**** would start shrinking like other parts of me

Might I suggest a "physical impossibility" for Dr. Oz.  Remember he is not much of a fan of WLS.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Well after losing close to 100 pounds, I am developing a "muffin top".

No exercise in the world will get rid of it. It's just basically skin. Once I bottom out, and have and what I feel is the normal 'rebound" I will be looking into plastic surgery for this.

It's small, but if u wear a tight shirt, it's looks just as bad as being fat.
