need advice from you men

My relationship with my husband is over and we are both moving on.
I have been dating someone new who is a divorced dad at school. He is (seems) really interested.
However, today a mom from the school, who is a also a good friend (who knows I have been seeing this guy) says she saw him at school today and he offered to do a playdate one night with their kids. She saw this as a bad and that if he was serious with me he shouldn't be asking other women out. As I pointed out, their girls are the same age and it's only a playdate. She has gone through a divorce and is having multiple issues with new men.
She says I should end it all and she would never go on the playdate as that wouldn't be fair and that she has my back???? I don't get it, is she just jealous that I am moving on or is she right?
