Clothes
Well I finally broke down and got some new clothes. My old pants were so flipping huge. Prior to surgery 52 were a little baggy and 50s fit good. My wife got me a pair of jeans 2 weeks ago that were a 46 and the fit but were a little loose. Friday I got a pair that were 44s and fit perfect, no belt needed to keep them up. Shirt size was a 3XL and I now can fit in 2XL although I find myself subconciously stretching them before I put them on. 4 shirts and 1 pair of jeans for $45, this is less that I used to pay for 1 pair of jeans.

When I had surgery, a lady at work that had the surgery about a year before me gave me three pair of jeans and said, "you are going to need these". The sizes were 40, 38 and 36. I thought, yeah right. Sure enough I got into the 36 and was able to wear them for a while. I am now a comfortable 38 but there are some brands that I fit a 36. Boy was it fun going to the mall and buying regular clothes. One of the biggest benifits of the WLS. I would even recommend goodwill as you are flying through sizes. Lastly, when you do get to goal weight, don't be afraid to size to fit. When I was big, baggy was the thing. Now that I am smaller baggy looks worse.

I know exactly what you mean...it is such a great feeling to find "regular" size clothes that fit and look good! At one point, I told my Dr, this is now getting expensive as I have to buy a whole new wardrobe. He laughed and said, "It's OK. With all the hard work, you deserve it!" I pass that sentiment on to you. Enjoy! Congratulations! Keep up the great work!
