I drove boat at show-ski nationals after 5 days.  The  incisions aren't the problem, its the anesthesia. I would suggest you wait for 8 or 9 days so all the drugs are out of your system.  Wouldn't want to fall asleep driving a bike.

I drove to the store about 4 days after surgery and was all over the road. I got home and stayed put for a few more days. I agree with the 8-9 day theory.

You could sit on it and make motor noises,...cheaper than buying a battery and the family will leave you alone.  Talk about you, but leave you alone.  And if you buy a battery, that no lifting thing is longer than the no driving thing.  May I suggest a sugar-free popsicle and a DVD?

I went riding 5 day post op. I had been out walking and thought a coulple of laps around the neighborhood would be a good way to cool down. i also wanted to see if riding was going to be painful. Well it wasnt painful at all and my trip around the neighborhood turned into a 20 mile ride down the interstate. It really felt good.

BTW TC316...I have  a VTX 1300 R.
