New weight loss goal.
I'm shooting for 218 pounds now. That would make my body fat percentage 11 percent. That's considered lean.. leaner than most people. I weighed 231 lbs yesterday so I now have 13 more pounds to lose.
Once again... life gets better every day. I rode 24 miles on my bicycle yesterday in record time (for me). Not bad considering I work a ten hour day as well. Temps were in the 90's, so I kept plenty of water handy.
I also broke my bike this week. The axle on the rear wheel snapped. Lucky for me.. I had a spare in the basement and was ready to ride again that night. I fixed it myself.
Today, my wife and I are going to the zoo in Columbus, Ohio. Maybe we'll see Jack Hanna.

You've been active on this forum since you were pre-op and have been an inspiration for many men. When I read of men and their bicycles, I think of my brother who is an avid road rider. Besides his regular bikes, he has a tandem and a recumbent. Sometimes a local bicyclist will go to his house and remark that his garage resembles a bike shop.
His son lives in Denver and is an avid cross country rider. I know that there are miles of trails on the mountains out there, but my bro said that my nephew just like going down the ski runs on his bicycle. He did that this Spring and broke the frame on a bike. Luckily, he wasn't hurt.
So, I just guess you'll become friendly with a local bicycle mechanic or shop. I know around here I see a lot of bicyclists out in the mornings. I live in the largest county in NJ and we have many parks, state forests, and shaded two lane roads.
