Here I am at the Columbus, Ohio Zoo.  My wife took the picture. Over my shoulder you can see a gorilla that is only 4 years younger than me. Who looks better, me or the gorilla?
This was near the end of my zoo visit.  My wife and I walked for five hours in 90 plus degree heat and sun to see all the exhibits.
There was a time before my surgery when there was no way I could have accomplished that without chafing, sweating, very painful joints and feet.  I would have had to rest every few feet. I would have been miserable.

But thanks mostly to my RNY, I can now survive days like this. My wife and I do many things together

After the zoo, we stopped by a Columbus restaurant where my son is a server. He waited on us. We had a great meal and it was great seeing him.

Life is super!

Herc, it sounds like you are enjoying life to the fullest - good for you!  You've done such a great job and are a great inspiration! 

I'm finding I'm doing many more activities and life is so much better for me in the last couple of months as my weight loss increases - I just do things now, don't hesitate or make up an excuse as to why I can't.  It's a great feeling!!

I LOVE hearing reports like this. It makes my day knowing others are successful and experiencing a new lease on life, just as I am.

Way to go.  Life should be enjoyed to it's fullest rather than just being endured day by day.  We only go around once!  Glad that you are having such a good time and I am quite sure that it must mean so much to your wife to be able to enjoy every day with you and do things together!  God bless you with continued great health!!!
