The Journey begins
Discharged from hospital about 6pm last night.
OK'ed to move to full liquids today.
Spent most of last night going to the can to pee away all the fluids they put in me.
Slept somewhat elevated in hospital, need extra pillows for home bed.
Have roxocet? (percocet) for pain. Only pain is just below diaphram where they did all the work.
Woke up this morning feeling like I had been kicked in the chest, Roxocet takes care of that.
Pam fixed me some cream of wheat, jello and diluted apple juice.
Octigal (sp?) for gall stones is a capsule. She spread it on a small amount of jello then covered with some jello. I have tasted worse stuff. Full teaspoon was TOO much going down. Felt that stick sensation for the 1st time. Gotta be a better way to get this med in. Prevacid is dissolve tablet went fine and roxocet is liquid.
Using a baby spoon is a great idea. Really helps control how much I put in my mouth at a time. Should be taking about an hour to eat what she made me. Gonna go for a short walk after finishing foods.
Looking for any ideas/suggestions you all may have for the first day or 2 at home.
Thanks to all!
Kevin

Be glad you can pee!! Had to be cathed twice before going home. I liked having a cute young female nurse playing with my Willy but wi**** had been under different cir****tances!
Follow your Dr.'s program to the letter when it comes to eating etc. Don't be suprised if it is several days before you need to take a crap and when you do if it is watery don't get too excited. Remember liquids in = liquids out. If it appears bloody get with your doc. Fresh blood in your stool is a good indication something may be leaking. And remember - Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
