Anyone Try IMT/ PowerbreatheTraining?

 Hey Guys,

I've noticed both lower blood pressure and lower resting heart rate after using one of these. Also seem to sleep better:

Seems like a really good device. Really seems to even improve strength. I guess if you're not out of breathe from the previous exercises...
Here is the Powerbreathe: http://www.entry-japan.com/j/powerb/   And, here is one of the science research reports about this type of training: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/06/100603091628.htm

The only downside to it, is that while warming up with the device seems to keep me from getting a "false" heart rate spike at the beginning,  I have to work harder to get my heart rate to its usual level.

Might want to ask your doc before using this, especially if you're just post op or have other health problems.

Sorry about the silly underline. I guess OH still hasn't worked out its code continuity bugs!

Dave

 Hi Joe,

Was just mailing Wanda. Just trying to keep up with my fitness reading. That's what I've been doing, the "Puffer" (that's what Dad calls the one he uses for pulmonary fibrosis) is great as a warmup before interval training or steep bike rides.

Best Wishes,

Dave
