The downward trend continues!

For those of us in America today is the Fourth of July!  234 years ago the forefathers told Great Britan to kiss our collective asses.  Let's remember that despite all the male bovine gastrointestinal track by product (BULL****) that is swirling in this country it is still the BEST place to be!

WLS is our way of telling obesity to kiss our ass and that we are declaring our independence from less than the quality lives we all want and can have.  If you are considering WLS think long and hard and make the decision that is best for YOU!  If you're already on the ride - hang in there!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

127 lbs lost

It has been a busy couple of weeks. Went on vacation, on a cruise even, and still managed to lose weight. Really tried to focus on my fitness goals since I was not able to track my food.

I did my third 5k yesterday and my son participated with me. My goal all along was not only to improve my own health, but also improve my family's health. Its a never ending process, but today it feels like I'm on the right track.

I figure it is about time I start posting in threads like this. :)

Highest Weight:  442
Surgery Weight: 370
First Sunday:  355
This Sunday:  348

So far so good.  Of course things are odd just getting started, but it has really gone well for me so far.  I was released by my surgeon to start riding my bike again and actually got in 5 miles this morning which was great.  Not my best ride, but I figure it is pretty good for having major surgery less than two weeks ago (6/23/10.)  Hopefully I can get things at work cleared up on tuesday and get back to work on Wednesday, the doc released me, but the paperwork for me to have a lifting restriction still has to be done, even if I don't have to do any lifting in my job anyway.

By all means please do.  The more the merrier!

Purpose of the "weigh in" is to give the guys a chance to compare notes and see where they are at, maybe toot their own horns and if need be vent a little bit.
