update and questions
Hey guys i had surgery a week ago yesterday. Apparently the surgery was even better than expected cause the liver was its proper size and didn't bother them at all (i didn't have a pre-op liquid diet). The first couple of days were pretty bad with pain issues and stuff (i think i realized i'm such a baby :) but anyway) after that i started feeling great and the day they released me i was doing a LOT better than i expected. I got home on monday and i started taking all the meds they prescribed. That night i couldn't sleep the pain was back.... granted a lot less pain and manageable pain but still pain... has any of you experienced this? 3 days out (from being home) and i still have it. its abdominal pain and sometimes i feel as though i had some kind of stomach virus... If you have experienced it.. how long did it last and is it normal? btw i have no trouble keeping my liquids down or anything... well thanks in advance..
It could be the lousy Co2 gas they pump in you. I was in ungodly pain my first 2 days in the hospital.
When I got out, I was farting up a storm getting rid of that gas.
As far as pain, I never needed the pain meds. The only pain I had was from the left side port entry where they insert the camera and tube for the Co2 gas. Even at 2 weeks, I still feel a little pressure there.
