Just a short update...
It is 1am after surgery and I'm actually not feeling to bad, of course it could be the drugs they have me on, but so far so good.
Both my wife and I are doing well, and expect to spend tomorrow gettting our leak tests, getting out of this dang robe and into my own cloths and walking walking walking.
Also one thing I do not think I say said about this surgery before and am having issues with it is urination, not that it hurts or anything, but it is very dificult to go. Though it is getting easier as the hours go on.

I never had a catheter, They want ya up and walking to the bathroom as much as possible. I felt like I had to pee, but nothing came out.. Tried a couple hours later and just barely a dribble.
The anesthetic slows down all your systems.. It just takes a bit for everything to get working again.
Plus. I was on clear fluids 2 days before surgery, and NOTHING the day of surgery (which wasn't until 4 pm) I think I was actually a bit dehydrated.. when they pumped the fluids in through the IV they were replenishing my body, not filling my bladder.
When I complained that I couldn't pee, the nurse hung a couple bags of fluids,, and took an ultrasound of my bladder and said,, there was very little urine in my bladder..
By the next day I was peeing like normal..

On the day before surgery, my surgeon asked if I had any issues with urination or prostate. When I responded I did not, he said that he would pull the catheter immediately after surgery. What he didn't mention was how much it would burn to pee for the first two days. Another of those things the surgeon should mention, in my opinion.
