Eating sanely in an insane world

I'm happy to say that I am not eating over my frustrations over events which I cannot control.  I live far from the Gulf, but I'm mad as heck about it.  I feel powerless about it and feel that BP is basically just running us over the coals.  Other large companies seemingly don't care about how their actions affect the US.

My personal situation hasn't changed.  My wife is still on unemployment and we just wonder when someone will finally hire her.  She has a degree and has been working steadily since 1974 and worked part-time before that when she was in school.

I think the key to my sane eating comes from staying away from my addicting foods.  I know what they are.  When I am tempted to eat them, I have to remember how difficult my life becomes when I do give in and eat them.

One of the techniques I have learned is to realize that I will soon be eating a nutritious meal.  That's part of the importance of planning many small high protein meals. I avoid true hunger and amsatisfied and feel good.

The BP thing as many years to play out and many more billions.
I know what food temptations are and I fight them every three or four days
As for your wifes  dilemma is concerened, maybe she can hire me and I can hire her.  At least we would feel employed
Good luck
