Good Morning to you all
I woke up early and decided to go watch the sun come up. I just put in 8 miles most of which was on the sand. Feels good to go on a good ride and not be out of breath when i get home.
I am going to join a Gym to see if i can speed up my recovery and stop losing and gaining the same damn 5 lbs.. Plus I am scared I am going to start gaining from not being active. Can't work my upper body much but I am getting a trainer that will teach me to use the machines that don't involve using my back.

Actually, gaining and losing 5 lbs is probably due to fluid retention and release and doesn't have anything to do with fat. Continue to exercise. When you are riding a bicycle, you are obviously getting aerobic exercise. However, you are also exercising your upper body by leaning into the handlebars. I'm sure you'd feel some fatigue in your arms as you begin to increase distance and duration.
I guess a morning ride is the best thing to do in FL at this time of the year. It must be brutal later in the day. At least you are on the clean coast.

I'm so jealous of you Unidos. Biking on the beach sounds great. Thanks for the pics. I did ten miles tonight on the local trail.
