colonoscopy

Am now 10 mos out from Rou N Y and have a Colonoscopy schdled in June 10. Has anyone else had one done that soon after their surgery?

No...2 years post op.  The biggest issue is the meds from the anesthesiologist.  The prep would be the same as the RNY.  No fun...but the worst of the procedure happens the night before on the pot.  No biggie.

i just called the surgeon who did the Bariatric part to see if this maybe is too soon. I know the night before will be ONE HECK OF A WAR and BATTLE! ha ha  or better known as 
WORSHIPPING THE PORCELEIN!  lol

 

Its the drainage material the day before.  It will clean you out.  The procedure is a twilight effect.  No problem.  I'm having one in July

I had one about 2 months ago.  No biggie...

The only issue was that you will need to get sugar free sports drink to make sure that you do not get dehydrated.  The prep is no different if you did not have surgery tho...

Just dont want to blow the "innereds" to smitherins with the drinking stuff. Thanks for the tipon the drinks. Never thought of that.

You will be fine.

The stuff that my doctor gave me is called "MoviPrep".  You mix two "things" together and chill it.  It is 32oz and you will drink 8oz every 15 minutes till it is gone the evening before, and then do the same thing about 4 hours before the procedure the next day.

I had no issues with drinking this.

thats the stuff that is to be consumed by me!  chilling it sounds more enticing..ha
