Gained two pounds this week!  WTH?  Hopefully it is muscle mass from working on the "chunk" party that has been going on.  Still have a few more trees to cut up.

Had to buy a new lawn mower yesterday.  Never knew till yesterday one of the rewards of having WLS is that when I went mower shopping after losing 160 pounds I would buy a non self-propeled push mower!

I had a super easy time when I borrowed my brother's non self-propeled to mow with this week.  Broke a little sweat but got no where near being winded from mowng.  Only problem was that I stopped to adjust my gimme cap and had to lean the mower back a little to have enough "done lop" to keep the safety bar down to keep the mower going!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

These moments tell us how far we've come in our journeys.  There's nothing to compare with a good FART!

174 : today

I don't know what's going on, but i've never EVER had a 7 pound loss since week 1 post op of my surgery.  Prior to this week, my weight had remained steady for 2 weeks after i hit goal, now all of a sudden it took off like a hooker runner from the cops.  I've been under a LOT of stress this week (dealing with seperating from my wife.....long story....) , which i'm sure has something to do with it.  But i still aimed for my 1500 calories a day or whatnot....

I really don't want to lose anymore weight....ugghh.  I'm so frustrated on so many levels right now.  Praying i don't have a nervous break down.

104 lbs lost

Had a follow-up with my surgeon last week. All checked out well. They gave me a tee shirt for losing 100lbs. It says "changing bodies, changing lives". If it were me I would have made it say "I lost 100lbs and all I got was this lousy tee shirt." I am now just waiting for word back on my labs.

Also, decided to break down and buy some new dress shirts. I've been doing the eBay thing to get me between sizes. I feel like I have to be getting close on my shirt size, so I decided to spend some money. Anyway, when they measured me I was a 15.5/35. I started wearing an 18/37!

Hope everyone has a great week.

Congratulations on the losing the 100 pounds!  100 pound "lousy" t-shirt idea sounds better than "changing bodies".   It would have been more self explanatory.  Other sounds like your surgeon's moto.

I gained four pounds this week.. but my pants are looser.

The scale reads 226 this morning. That is an increase of 4 pounds from a week ago.

The same scale though says my body fat percentage is 14%. Although I question the scale's accuracy for BF percentage.. It is the lowest reading ever for me.  (Last week it was around 16.5%).

The same scale also claims that my body has 67% hydration (water content).   That is an all time high for me on that scale.

So what does it all mean?

Well. I ate dinner at a restaurant Saturday and Sunday.  I try to keep these "special occasion" meals to once a month.. but on Saturday I took my wife out to the theater and Sunday was Mother's Day.  I ate more than I had planned.. but I wrote the food in my journal.  I got my minimum required protein.. and kept the carbs down.. but the fat content was a lot higher than I usually eat.  (But I had a good time and was full.. Not like the old days when I would eat what was on my plate and leftovers from my family as well)

I add very little salt to my food during the week because of my hypertension.  It seems every time I eat that sodium laced restaurant food, I end up weighing more on the following Monday. So some of it may be water.

I have been riding my bicycle a lot more too. Maybe it's new muscle. That would be good.

I can tell you this.  I had to drill another hole in my belt loop on Friday because my size 40 slacks kept falling down.

So, I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing.

This coming Saturday, my daughter is graduating from college, and she wants to go out to dinner at a place that specializes in cheeseburgers. That should be a challenge.

By the way. I am so proud of my daughter.  She paid for (loans) her college without much help from us (her parents).
She just received all A's and B's on her report card.  She will graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Her major is in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

More than a year ago, I was reluctant to think of her graduation day.  I didn't want her to be embarrassed when her 500 pound Dad showed up to lumber up into the seats. I hope she'll be proud of her new 226 pound father on Saturday.

I'm with you on picking up weight but losing your pants!  Noticed I'm two pounds heavier but a notch tighter myself.

Congrats to your daughter on graduating from college!  I'm sure she'll be proud of her Dad come Saturday.
