For The Men!!!! Lets Talk...

I am truly Thankful to God for Blessing me with a wife that is by my side as we are constantly working on and improving upon our learning each other.  This is needed as Men we speak in a totally different language and when that happens it can sometimes leave us feeling lost and mis-understood.  Are there any other Men feeling this way. I would dare to say YES!!!.  Feel free to post a response and we can begin to exchange dialog and begin to grow and improve in how we communicate so that we are understood and so that we can understand what is being communicated to us.  My wife is Post-Op and is celebrating her 1 year Anniversary.  She is doing Great.  Do you happen to know someone who is Pre-Op or Post-Op and do not know where you fit or how you can help.  Feel free to post your concerns here and will work on it together.

Joeseph, I too have been blessed with a very understanding wife.  I don't comunicate with her very well and have been working on it these last few months.  I guess some times if I think it I just consider it said.  This tends to get me in trouble!  Also being a typical guy when she wants to talk about "feelings" I clam up because I'm half afraid I'll say something stupid.  ( a point proven in past experiences LOL).  
  I met my wife on the singles forum here.  We've been married about 4 years now.  We're both post ops from 2005.  It's been a heck of a ride and she's still likes me!  HAHA

Bob,  I definitely understand LOL. I am not the best at communicating my feelings either.  There are some things that I sometimes just want to work out for myself.  Believe me my wife goes through those changes with me as well.  There are some times that I feel like talking and then there are times I just don't.  I think that my thing is learning how to balance it out because in the end my wife does love me, but she may not always understand what I am saying. Just like when speaks to me she may be saying something that she believes is quite clear and I totally miss it. I believe that as long as the respect is there it will all work itself out. 

Now that was funny recurve!   Joeseph, I especially like the conversations that "she said" we've had and I have absolutley no memory of it at all!  I swear sometimes she is trying to make me think I'm nuts HAHA.  She's a lot smarter than me though so I seldom doubt her.  I just smile and say "yes Dear".  I too beleive that respect is the key and also understanding.  She has been very patient with my ignorant butt and I think she even still likes me!  LOL

I told my wife I want to buy a motorcycle, she said noway. Two months later I told her I want to triple my life insurance policy payout and buy a motorcycle. She said cool go for it.
