Winter is taking one last stab at Texas! (me shivering) Woke up to 1/4 inch of snow on the ground but not sticking to the roads. At least not locally. Friday the high was near 70! Glad I threw a few pieces of wood in the wood box. Me no likey da cold! Especially since I have no more "insulation"!

187 : today
2 pounds down for the week. Not bad considering i couldn't get to the gym nearly as much as i would have liked to. This is the part that scares me, when life gets in the way and then my routine has to change....but i will try to adapt. A mandated 58 hour work week is driving me crazy when i'm used to only 40 hrs a week. But i'm glad to be employed so i shouldn't complain. 7 pounds to go until my personal goal, I can almost see it!!!
Highest Weight : 361 (pre-op diet) | Surgery Weight : 311 | Current Weight : 181
Good for you then! At least on the financial end. 58 hours is a long ass week! Used to work 12's (4-3-3-4) several years ago. Did not mind occasionionly seeing a 4th or 5th day on a 3 day week for the money but Heaven forbid getting two extra days tacked on a 4 day week. That thing following me in the door was my ass that I was dragging!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
I am officially six month post op RNY as of yesterday. The scale read 238 lbs today. That's a five pound increase over one week ago. I'm still eating between 650 and 700 calories a day.
But the body fat percentage on the scale read 17.5 percent. I don't know how accurate that body fat percentage indicator is on that scale... but when I first got the scale a couple months ago, the body fat percentage read around 25%. That number has progressively decreased over the weeks.
The charts say that a healthy body fat for a man my age is between 11 and 22 percent, even though the BMI charts say that a six foot, one inch tall man should weigh no more than 189 pounds. I get my labs and see a doc and nutritionist next month. I'll see what they have to say.
I have increased my daily protein intake to more than 100 grams over the past few weeks. And this past weekend, I hopped on a bicycle for the first time in 20 years and rode 30 miles.
I had great weather and a great time.
