Positive changes in my life

First of all, I saw my shrink last week and realized I needed an increase in the dosage of my anti-depressants.  He agreed and made an adjustment.  I know that it will take about 1-2 weeks for the affect of the change to take place.  Well, I'm already feeling better.  I have relatives who suffer from depression and they understand what I wanted to get--going from a feeling of "ok" to a feeling of "good,"  People who don't deal with depression probably have no idea what I'm talking about and I won't even try to explain it.  Basically, I can function when ok but I can motivate myself when good.

It's been mild for a couple days and I'm starting to do light work in my yard--trimming bushes that haven't even been touched in over 10 years.  I'm also eager to spend some time outside of the house.  In the past I was a couch potato and I was perfectly satisfied staying that way.  It didn't matter what the weather was since I jus****ched TV,played on the PC, ate, and slept.  Notice that there was almost no exercise in there.

A really big plus that has come up is that my wife is finally getting job interviews.  We know that they are not offers, but a couple of them look promising.  She went for an interview yesterday where they were talking about training and went into detail about the job.  Another job pays much better but she hasn't heard anything from them either.  Since her unemployment runs out in mid-May, she'll take a reasonable offer but may quickly leave to take the better job--about $10,000 more per year and $25 less per week in net travel expenses.  The important thing is that she hasn't been offered any job yet.  We'll face the ethics of possibly accepting one job and taking a different one if we ever come to that.  My friends think we're stupid if we think the employers would really mind that much.

So, things are looking up and I'm actually starting to have a positive attitude.  Wow!  It sure is nice to be able to think like this.

Blue skies head'n your way
Getting out and about is very good for the heart, head and soul
I was working on couch potatoe 101 for  2 years.  Getting pretty good at it.  Since WLS I try to be more outdoor active.  I bike alot.  No yard work as we live in condo development (scaling down)
Gym time and biking are about it for me.  I walk a mile to the stores with a back pack everfy so often
Since I live near Wash DC, I enjoy museum hopping.  Great workout.  6 miles of walking and learning
Wish you well
