Good Evening Gentlemen,

This site has always been a great resource for me and I feel so badly that I don't visit nearly as much as I should to try to help the new folks along (as I was helped along back in the day).

Nonetheless, this coming Sunday will mark 2 years since my RNY.  It's been a wonderful ride, but not without glitches.  With that being said however, I'd do it 100 times again.

Thanks for stopping by. It's always reassuring to hear from guys who are a couple years out.

I'm almost 4 years out and believe me, I never used to believe that the weight can creep up....Well, it can and we RNY'rs have to work at it because they changed the anatomy and not our brain function.

Hey buddy,

Good to hear from you.  I feel the same way.  Many folks have given me tons of support over the last two years and I don't visit the boards often enough these days in order to repay my graitutude.  That said, I will try to be around more so I can be a resource for others.

Congrats on your upcoming surgiversary.  I too am almost 2 years out myself (April 11).  I have lost and kept off 270 lbs so far, hanging in the 190-193 range.  I also finally got my plastics done.  That was a rough ride there.  WLS was nothing compared to plastic reconstruction.  In the end though, I'd do it all over again.  Can't wait to see Dr. Mac next month.  He has no idea how much I have lost.

I have lost 102 pounds so far, but I am in pain of some type daily.  I wish I would never have had WLS.

Wow, what kind of pain do you have?

After I eat I get pain in my pouch, no matter how much or little food I eat.  I have 2 endoscopes all is normal.  The surgeon said it could be scare pain that could last a year or more.  I had open RNY don't know if that make a differance.

Congrats Jason. You and I share the same anniversary (give or take a few days).

The amazing thing for me is that my wife just had RNY last week, so now we are both post-op!

It has been a great two years. I've learned a lot and I've still got a lot to learn. I still fall off the wagon every so often with the eating but thankfully I am doing okay.

Would do it all over again in a heart beat!
