Shaving my head?
I began losing my hair forty years ago. But I could never bring myself to try to develop one of those comb overs. Now, after WLS my hair seems to be even thinner. I was thinking of just going all bald and saving it all off. Have any guys had experience with that? How often do you have to actually shave your head? Do you do it yourself or have a barber do it? Do you use a regular or electric razor? Do any of you experience any discrimination because of your shaved head?
Note to my lady freinds... this message is posted on the Men's Forum, but if you are a freind of mine, you may not notice that. If you happen to see it feel free to send me a message through OH... but the guys like to keep their forum to themselves, so you might not want to post on the Men's forum.

Sorry for the intrusion, boys, but I just want to tell Hercules that I - yes, a girl - shave (clip, actually) my head every March for a children's cancer charity and keep the bald loo****il it gets too cold in Connecticut to stay bald any longer. My husband also has had his shaved for as long as I can remember and he keeps his clipped all year.
It's the most easy-care thing you could ever imagine. We've never gone to anyone to pay them to clip our heads because it's easier and cheaper to just DIY. A perfectly acceptable set of clippers runs about 20 bucks. Saves a ton of money in the long run. We both clip about once a week or every ten days and it takes about ten minutes.
And if I, a broad, have never faced any discrimination being bald, I doubt you will!
Thank you for your time, gentlemen. I will now return get on the tuna boat and return to taco town.

What does your wife think about you shaving your head? Don't come home and surprise her one day. She might not recognize you! BTW, I am sure u know that in a couple months u will regrow that hair, unless male pattern baldness is out-running the post op normal loss and winning the race. I too am losing more than weight at this point in my post op life but i have a ton of hair to begin with and lots of short little hairs are growing in underneath and replacing the loss already and i am not quite 4 months out. I guess everything as far as weight loss to hair loss and regrowth varies with each individual.
