New Group
This is a group dedicated in trying to quit refined carbs and sugars for 40 days- it's not about any religion, or faith- other then faith in yourself. We started the group a few days ago and figured that the beginning of Lent was a good lead in for the group. 40 days seemed like a good start- but honestly, IF we can do it for 40, we can do it for 60? 80? 365? for good?
Many of us have started to cheat a little after wls- and the purpose of the group is to help each other deal with the day to day struggle many of us face. There isn't anyone being judgmental- if we eat something we shouldn't- we help each other move on. Think of it as the 'One day at a time' approach.
Anyone/everyone is welcome to join- the only requirement is a desire to try to quit (or at least greatly lower the amount of our intake of) refined sugar and carbs over the next 38 days- and to be active in the group- offer your opinions, your feedback, your suggestions... You have nothing to lose but a few pounds:

Rather than listing our individual binge foods, why don't we just join the group? Mr. Incredible gives you the direct link. All you have to do is left click on it and join. Anyone who applies to the group is accepted. Note: Since this is an OH Group as opposed to an open forum, people can be excluded from the group if they do not conform to the group, i.e., this group is about giving up binge foods one day at a time and not about religion. Conceiveably, someone who tried to pontificate about religion rather than work on avoiding binge foods could be removed from the group. The Group only started on this past Wed and I don't think that has happened.
I tend to be the one who brings up spiritual--not religious--views such as ones that pertain to programs that work one day at a time.
