FART! I fixed the toilet
Talk about a glamorous benefit from weight loss surgery! Today I fixed the upstairs toilet. We kept having to jiggle the handle and a simple flapper replacement wasn't fixing it. So I had to take off the tank and replace the valves.
This is something else I couldn't do a year ago. I could hardly fit into that small space where the toilet is located. And I couldn't bend over without great fatigue, or I couldn't kneel without agonizing pain in my arthritic knees.
Today, I went upstairs with my tools and got the job done in about an hour. No more jiggling the handle!

Good going, Herc!
I remember the "too small toilet distress" feeling distinctly, too .. I still have my "Big John" oversized, heavy-duty toilet seat I paid over $100 for like 4 or 5 years ago on mine. I really should replace it with a standad-sized one, but I think each time I almost fall in it reminds me of my old days and helps me keep my head on straight ..
(congrats, btw, on reaching my lowest post-op weight - 251 - too ... Keep on losing man, and get below 200 .. DON"T do like I did and start going back up from there! )
