I am six months out from Rou N Y and lately when i first rise of a morning, i am having a hard time focusing and reading a paper. And the lighting looks not bright to me, but sort of dim. Wondering if there is something i am not doing i should be eating; or is an issue that the surgery will cause the body still undergoing changes. After awhile the eyes become focused and im fine. Just wondering if any other guys have had this problem

eat a banana and be sure to get in all of your water.  maybe that will help.

I thought that my eyes had changed from the surgery.  Since May I couldn't focus very well on things at a close distance.  I had my eyes checked last week and was told the I now need reading glasses or bifocals.  I'm 45 years old so I guess that makes sense.  I have had a problem with dry eyes since surgery when I wear my contacts.

i kept thinking i was getting cataracts...or something else. Have to wait til April as plan says has to be a yr and will be then. I sit in my office under a bright light with a magnifying glass sometimes just to see fine print in the paper.

If you were a diabetic before surgery who had problems keeping blood sugars under control and now after surgery are well under control - that could be an explanation for changes in vision.  I know my vision was all over the place when I swung back and forth from being under control to out of control pre surgery.  I plan to go to the eye doctor in March (4 months out) to make sure all is well in the vision world

When was the last time you had your vit levels run? low A can effect your eye site. You should have labs run every 6 months (my surgeon ran them every 3 in the first 2 years).

I had to get glasses in Dec 07'  I never thought about the surgery affecting my vision...I'll be 33 in a few days and just figured my age was the factor...but this has me thinking, I had 20'20 vision all my life til a year or so after surgery, so maybe there is a connection???  Good luck
