How early was your first stall?
Hi Guys,
I'm in my fourth week post op and this week has definitely been the slowest weight loss I've seen. Overall I'm down 30 lbs, which is fantastic. I knew the pace was unsustainable, but this week I've only lost one pound.
I've read a lot about stalls on the main board, but I was curious how common this is with men. So, did you have a stall (or a crawl) within the first few weeks post op? If so, how long did it last?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Everyone is different, so don't let my story scare you, but I stopped losing weight at week 3. The scale didn't move again for another 3.5 weeks. The longest days of my life, i was completely frustrated and damn near drove myself crazy. It obviously picked up again, but it does happen to some of us. Just know that if it is a stall, it will pass, just keep doing what you're supposed to do and try your best not to dwell on it.
Highest Weight : 361 (pre-op diet) | Surgery Weight : 311 | Current Weight : 181
i had a couple since Aug. but my first came in right about where you are at weeks 3 or 4. and it lasted 2 weeks before it started going down again.
including the two week pre op diet i am now down 140lbs at 5months post surgery.
keep up with the rules and you will be back to losing before you know it..

I too was a victim of the dreaded "three week stall"! Lost about a lb a day for the first three weeks, and then absolutely nothing for the next three. I can tell you I was going nuts, eating practically nothing, and the damn scale never moved. From watching the boards, I think this is almost the norm. Then the dam broke and I lost 15 in the next four weeks. Now I seem to be stagnant again, but at least I have some confidence that it is not me, just my body.
