Side effect - I'm COLD!!!!!!
This has been my problem this winter and fall also. SIx months out from surgery. Every day and i mean every day around lunchtime for the past several months, my hands more and body get ice cold. I have cranked the heat up the the highest i have ever before. Wife keeps telling me to layer more on. I am sitting as i write this in my office with a space heater blowing on me and still i am cold. Just a good thing i guess to have with the weight loss. Know where you are coming from Brian too on this subject!
Brian,
I think you're spoiled with single digit wind chills! (it's -20.2 F right now here. -20... and that isn't the wind chill).
My wife thinks she has gotten revenge for all those years that I was warm and she was cold... now we are both cold LOL - she has asthma and NO circulation what so ever... she is always cold, now I have joined her.
Some days I count the layers when sitting in the car and its usually upwards of 5. A hat and gloves are things I NEVER used to wear. Now they are standard equipment.
Good luck! Warmer weather is right around the corner... I hated summer because I was always "simmering in my own juices" - can't wait to see what happens this summer.

Cold seems to be the way for me too now. But I'll take this over being the fat guy that sweats all the time and using a fan. I have been eyeing those long coats for the first time and put an extra blanket on my bed. I lost power for four day when the big snow fell here and boy did it get cold for me at night. I know this past Summer did not feel as hot and I thought that was great, guess I'll take the good with the bad.
