Hey there...glad to have you!!  I graduated from CSU Chico...PARTY!!!!  Just kidding...I didn't party, but loved that city.  In a few months (springtime) I hope you get to know Bidwell Park real well (biking, walking, jogging).  Glad to have you.  Brian

Thanks Ricco , you are a weight loss icon to me.........I weighed 285 at my first MD visit and I weigh somewhere around 270 or a little less , I got a good scale today online and awaiting delivery.................

Man, I am 3 days from surgery and I am  hungry.......I am drinking another protein meal shake and going to eat a couple sugar-free jellos..............I felt pretty good the first week.......I am a PA-C and work in a really busy Urgent Care, some days 40-50 patients.........I worked my last day Friday and thank God cause I was really starting to drag ass..........like feeling faint but not enough to pass out.
So the last 2-3 days I have just felt like I don't have much energy and not really my normal self.

I know that post-op I will have less, so any advise that helped you I would really appreciate.........

Thanks again, Patrick

Just a thought on the energy.  I know how the liquid diet can drain you on energy.  If you are open to it, you may want to just cook some frozen spinach in the microwave and add a small amount of salt...sodium, potassium and iron.  For most people the stomach needs to be empty for surgery...but the spinach may give you a lift (electrolytes).  Brian

my doctor told me men tend to do better with the band than women, and lose faster as well.  I am was very active in martial arts even at my heaviest and was shocked when after the surgery I did not have the surge of energy that others report.  I was wondering what I had got myself into at that point, but your body adjusts and the energy comes back.

I just had my 3rd fill and my doctor said he doesn't want to see me for a few months because I am losing fast enough and will not need any fills for a few months.  I would like to get down about 40 more pounds but we'll see whether or not my body agree with me.
