I'm giving away my funeral clothes
I know it sounds morbid. (as in morbidly obese).. but I kept a sport coat in my closet that I bought years ago. It was the only one I had. It stopped fitting me about seven years ago... but since at the time I was convinced that I would never lose weight, it would only be a matter of time before I died, and my family would need something to bury me in. I figured the funeral director could just split the coat up the back to make it look like it fit. Who would notice in a coffin? (That is if I could fit into a coffin)
I don't even like to reflect on those awful days... The only reason I recall them is for people who may feel that sense of hopelessness today. Well. there is hope.
I can now give that old sport coat to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Because I bought a new sport coat. And I didn't buy it at the big men's store. I bought it off the rack at J.C. Penney!

My wife and I went out to a dinner engagement tonight! I wore the coat. We had a good time.
