I was decorating the outside of the house for the holidays today and needed to reach under the eaves of the house.  All we have is an aluminum step ladder with a listed capacity of 200 lbs.  I still weigh 286.  But the job had to be done.  I only went up two steps.. BUT THE LADDER DIDN'T BREAK!  It's the first ladder I have used in years.

i wouldnt feel unsafe on that ladder....those capacities are way underrated....i used ladders, attic stairs, etc all the time at 400 lbs+ and never broke one...i made a game out of exceeding weight limits...haha...i even used to drive my sons little 110cc kiddie quad, which had a 180 lb weight limit.
