Greetings from my hospital room!

My RNY surgery was a success.  No complicatoins thus far (thank god).  I am having alot of pain, which I expected.... but the vast majority of the pain is from gas.  Brutal gas pain.

Anyway, take care fella's and I'll talk to ya soon!

Take Care & Good Luck,
Jason

Best of luck and speedy revc. to you.
When you get home you might want to have a cane/etc next to the chair when you get up to take a little pressure off your tummy when standing. Worked for me.
Do you get the binder and drain tube? I was shocked at how long the tube was when my PCP took it out. lol
Now you got a couple weeks of those one oz cups for meals if your program has that.
Hang in there it gets better each day.

Cool cool cool.  Sip, walk, rest.  It is hard to get a good night sleep in the hospital...but try.  They are always waking you up to take vitals throughout the night.  The pain near your bellybutton is where they put the camera.  The gas pain is usually gone in 7-10 days for most people...Trapped gas...they test for leaks by blowing air in different areas...that is why it's trapped in there and hard to come out.  Very boring stuff the next few weeks.  Enjoy the ride.  Brian  PS  At home sleep whenever and wherever you can...bed, couch, recliner, floor.  Use pillows in different ways for comfort...

It's good to hear that your surgery went well. Yeah. gas. It sucks.  I had that for a couple of weeks. I found that it helped to pay attention to serving sizes.  I had to eat like a quarter of a cup of food every two hours. Any more.. and my abdomen ached. You're doing fine.

That's great to hear....walk as much as you can, that's the only thing that'll make the gas pain go away...
