Looking for a support group
Good morning. My name is Tom Pahula and I had RNY in July 2006. I was 290 and lost 120. I was down to 167 but looked too thin. So I leveled out at about 175 which was great. That is when I lived in FL and had a GREAT support group and was able to stay on track. Well I had to move to GA a year ago (I love GA BTW) and have a very challenging daily routine. I live in Gray, GA (close to Macon) and work in Atlanta. So I drive 160 miles round trip each day. I tried to find a support group in my (home) area but with no luck. I have been slowly gaining weight. I am now at 199 and not very happy. I had to deal with numerous medical issues when weighing 290. I was taking 14 pills a day. Now only 4. Had a heart attack in 2002. Won't go in to all that now. I am really getting worried about this weight gain. It has been 3 years and I hear and read about a lot of horror stories of those who have had the RNY surgery regaining all their weight. I can NOT do that. Especially for health reasons. My biggest problem is I deal with some work political issues dealing with lunches. I have to eat out everyday and the choices I am given are not the best. I try to do good but when you are eating at fast food spots it is hard. I use to eat lunch in FL everyday at Boston Market and have a kids meal. It was great. But no Boston Markets around here or my home. :>( Well enough for now. Any help you can provide is appreciated.
Sorry for the long post. My main question is there any support groups around Gray, GA?
Thanks, Have a great day. Thanks,
Tom

Nothing beats meeting with actual people but there is always someone here to help if you need it.
