Hunger and feeling full

One of the things I kept telling the doctor and nutritionist before my surgery is that I never really felt hungry or full. Unless I ate Thanksgiving Dinner and ate until I ached, I never got that full sensation.   But tonight,  I actually felt hungry.

My wife and I toured an old restored mansion decorated for the holiday. It was beautiful. Afterwards, I hadn't eaten in a few hours so we decided to head for a vegetarian restaurant I wanted to try. This place is owned by Chrissy Hynde from the rock band The Pretenders.  It was a bit pricey but the food was good. I had a large Caesar Salad and large bowl of tomato bisque soup.  I did not eat the croutons in the salad, the bread before the meal, or the bread with the soup.  I was proud of that.

So you finally made it to the restaurant, glad you enjoyed it,  at least you know not to go there on Sundays right.....isn't it amazing how different we are now, we change the way we eat and are fine with it,    I have told my Dr. that I did not eat all that much before surgery, I guess I ate a lot of the wrong stuff.  I am so thankful for this surgery it has made such a difference in what I can do.
