Doc, NUT and shrink rules. Do you obey?
Another post made me think of the "rules" handed out by my Doctor, Nutritionist and Psychologist. There are some I am still trying to follow.
The biggest "violation" is that I still eat too quickly. Sometimes, like when I eat chicken too fast, I pay the price with the foamies.
What rules do you find challenging?

I am pretty good at following most rules, however, my biggest challenge is getting in my vitamins. I only need to take the one-a-day vitamin and the calcium citrate so you would think it would not be too difficult - however, 1/2 the time I forget to do them.
I am pretty good about chewing 25 times, however, on occasion I also eat too quickly and then![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/barf.gif)
The things that I am REALLY good about is journaling/weighing my food and hitting the gym 5-6 times a week.

First I would like to say that this is the men's forum and women posting here are not welcome!!!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/furious.gif)
My big "violation" is also eating too fast. I have been a fast eater all my life. Might have something to do with having served in the military 21 years. I struggle with this constantly and even have my wife and kids keep telling me to slow down if they see me eating fast. that helps.

In reply to your men's forum rant...![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/chatterbox.gif)
the starter of the thread is a "friend" of mine and so I see what he posts. He posts often and most are very interesting to the point that I want to respond with my input/experiences/questions
. Get this, I dont look to see what forum I am responding in
. I am just chit chatting with my friend and all others. No harm intended
. I think I speak for many.

to this point since I am new, i do follow my doc guidelines. He is a bit loose telling us to listen to our bodies, but still following a basic guide. I def listen re: the vitamins, yet it can be hard to remember at times, b/c i am so scared of going into the hospital and putting my fam at a scare.

For the most part, I follow the guidelines that I've been given and they have worked well for me.
The only one that I've "ignored" has been the no drinks 30 min before eating. I'll drink right up to my first bite. I still religiously follow the NO drinking during the meal and wait 30 min after the meal before my next sip.
I think that one may have been geared more toward someone who is very early out but they never made that clear. Just doesn't make sense for me now.
