Good luck buddy! I'm interested in this too, I'm a long way from being in a position for plastics but I want to know what it feels like and about scarring and cost.

This is what I know about it so far:
-Bikini cut, from hip bone to hip bone.
-After the cut is made, the skin from the pubic area is pulled up and the excess is cut away making Mr. Happy about 1-2 inches bigger , the skin from above is pulled down and cut away making the belly button lower.
-Only the area from 1 inch above the belly button down is affected. There is no tightening of the ab muscles.

I'm lucky in that Blue Cross is paying for it entirely. They have denied my boob job, but that decision is being appealed. I was hoping to have both at the same time but no such luck.  The boob job will cost $3500-$4,000 out of pocket. If I have to I will find a second part time job to get the extra money to have it done if I have to.

Hey Rich,

Did you have any medical conditions that gave your insurance company reason to pay for the surgery?

I was just curious. I would like to have it done and would like insurance to pay for it as well.

  expect this:

       EEEEEEOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

I'm getting real scared off of PS, after hearing from post-ops about how painful it is for weeks afterward ..   Question is whether it is really worth it .

btw, I assume you are actually having a LBL ..  I thought a "panni" was a gal procedure?     The "bikini cut" sounds similarly of "concern"

As to Mr. Happy, if I do get up the nerve for PS, that will be my #1 priority:  lipo out ALL fat so there is only skin over pubic bone above Mr. Boner ..

Good luck, and ask for LOTS of pain drugs ..  !

There was no way to get them to pay for the full TT? I know Bc/bs is usually pretty good about paying for a full TT if you lost over a 100 lbs. If not, seriously consider paying the doctor the difference for the TT. The muscle tightening is what gives you that "flat" tummy look.

But in general, i found my lower body lift a breeze compared to my DS. Having surgery when you're thin is a lot easier to recover from then when you're SMO.
