new surgery RNY 11/11/2009
Jason,
Congrats on your surgery!
Follow your docs program to the letter the first few weeks.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/grad.gif)
May need to add some of the powdered protein to your shakes etc. Don't ask me what kind. Never did the stuff -- got mine through a can. When I got to the pureed stage became very familiar with cheese in eggs, grits, on a baked potato, ate red beans, refried beans etc. If your doc's nutritionist did not give you a meal plan check eggface's web site. She has oodles of recipes etc on there.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
I've used the cheapest vanilla flavored powdered protein I could get. My wife currently gets me EAS resealable bags at Sam's. I don't know the price but I do know it's cheaper than the online places I use for everything else. I can also get some DaVinciGourmet SF/FF syrups there but mostly the ones I use in coffee. For flavoring the shakes, I get mostly the same brand fruit flavored syrups from www.netrition.com but they are available at most online nutrition stores.
Once you are on solid food, many men recommend carrying nuts or beef jerky. I don't because I can't chew them.
