RNY on 11-10-09

I had RNY surgery on the 10th.  Can't believe that it was almost a week ago.  I still have quite a bit of pain, but am remembering all that I have learned here on the Men's board.  CHEW, CHEW, CHEW; SIP, SIP, SIP; and NEVER TRUST A FART!   That last one was a surprise to me.  I can't believe how many times I have had to quit what I was doing to run to the bathroom for diarreah.  Blech!  If I trust my home scale, I am down 18 pounds from a week ago.

Whelp, I am grateful to be joining you all on the loser's bench.

Good to know that you're up and at it.  Hang in there.  Things will get better.  The first month post-op was the hardest for me and my wife.

I have to agree with Duane. The first month is the toughest.  We look forward to reading about your progress.

I remember that first week...you worry about the FARTS....and you worry that you are going to rip the pouch stitching open. You will do fine. You will get in a groove and will be a smooth ride here on out.....

We always welcome new ones to the losers corner bench....

CHEW, CHEW, CHEW; SIP, SIP, SIP; and NEVER TRUST A FART!

Prett much life post-op!  Plenty of room on the bench with all our shrinking asses!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Great to read your progress thus far! I know they promised that we would be up and running in no time - I just never imagined this kind of running.  I would have thought constipation  was more likely to become a problem - since getting fluid is hard in the beginning - now I might have to rethink that ...

Incredible how much weight many men loose the first weeks post-op!

Sorry for the bit pain but if you feel something is not normal, check with your surgeon.  Hopefully you feel much better and congrats on the weight loss.....WOHOOO!!!!!

Almost like magic yesterday afternoon I felt better.  I still hurt, but I can manage it easily.

As for twitter, I haven't been on lately due to loosing the ability at work and just not having enough time at home.
