Checkup with doc..(and lunch)

I saw Doctor Schauer today at the Cleveland Clinic for my 7 week post op.  He said everything is going fine, and I'll see him again in 12 months. He advised me to make sure I continue taking daily vitamins. He indicated that many people don't keep up with their nutrients post op.  After wards my wife and I had lunch at a downtown restaurant. I ordered a  lunch combo, whi*****luded Greek Salad and a bean soup. The waitress told me that for two dollars more, I could order them separately and get much more food.  I told her that I actually wanted the smaller portions. They were just right. I finished them all. After wards my wife and I walked about a mile to the Great Lakes Science Center and saw an Omnimax movie on the Grand Canyon. We walked a mile back to the car and drove back home. There is no way I could have walked that distance even seven months ago. What a great day.

Congratulations Hercules!!! You had quite a few accomplishments all in one day. That has to feel so good. Realizing that you don't NEED more food and that you weren't tempted to order more is a wonderful thing. The walks are wonderful, and I'm so glad that you are capable of doing them now. (: It sounds like a wonderful day spent with your wife. I love those kind of days, when you spend time with those you love and just enjoy life for all it has to offer you. Keep up the great work.
