7 weeks post op

It's 7 weeks since my Lap RNY.  This morning I weigh 298 lbs. I am below 300 pounds for the first time in years and it is a long way from the 500+ pounds I once weighed.  Since my surgery I have lost 25 pounds.  Sure.. it would be even better if I lost more.. but 25 pounds in seven weeks is phenomenal.

I am slowly learning that it is a mistake for me to think that there is a "deadline" or some kind of "end date" to this process.  Taking vitamins and eating right and exercising is something I will do for the rest of my life. It won't stop when I reach my goal. So I'll just try to enjoy the journey one day at a time.

I had to learn that as well.  This is not a race, and everyon'e journey is different.  Take lots of pics and often, so you can always go back and see where you came from, then you realize just how great you're doing.  It's about permanent lifestyle changes, and not a quick fix----and i still seem to forget that from time to time.  LOL.

Congrats on your success thus far, keep it up.
