Hormonal Imbalance Causes
May 22, 2009 - 06:50 AM

Hormones are the messengers that transports the chemical signals from one cell to another. Hormones are made in the body by the endocrine glands (pituitary, pineal, thymus, thyroid, adrenal glands and pancreas). Basically the hormones are produced in the man’s testis and woman’s ovaries. Hormones perform very important functions in the human body. Hormones play a major role in the growth and development; secondary sexual characters are basically developed on the basis of the hormone levels in the body. Hormones act as the enzymes for many of the essential body functions.

The sex life of the men and libido is dependent considerably on the hormone levels in your body. Even the maturity of the sperms is affected by the levels of hormones in the body. Fertility of the men or women is decided on the basis of hormone levels. When any hormone is present in less concentration, it leads to the various ailments. So, please go through the below mentioned points which will give you the explanations about the reasons for hormonal imbalance in body.

Hormonal imbalance causes

1. Aging is the first and foremost cause of the hormonal imbalance. Hormonal imbalance is very common among the men with old age or above 50 years.

2. Stress causes hormonal imbalance in both men and women. Stress affects the production of the hormone in the body and makes him/her prone to the ailments caused by the hormonal imbalance.

3. Damage or physical injury to the testis is found to be a prime cause of the hormonal imbalance because it stops the hormone production completely. Hormone imbalance caused by the testis damage is generally untreatable unless the injury to the testis is recovered completely.

4. Lack of sleep disturbs the hormone levels in the body because essential amount of sleep is found to be necessary for the hormone production.

5. Excessive weight gain or obesity influences the normal hormone level in the body. The people with the excessive weight are double the times prone to the hormonal imbalance. Nearly 45% of the individuals suffering with obesity face the hormonal imbalance problem.

6. Depression leads to the hormonal imbalance in some cases. Depression affects all the body functions, which finally are guarded by the brain. Depressed men are usually find deficit with the testosterone levels. Women on other hand are found to be very much facing the problem of hormonal imbalance due to depression.

7. Cardiovascular diseases and hormonal imbalance are linked. If a person suffers with the cardiovascular disease then he is very much prone to hormonal imbalance. Cardiovascular disease affects the hormone levels by cutting of the supply of blood to the testis, which affects the hormone production.

8. Hormonal imbalance is also resulted from diabetes or high blood pressure problems. In diabetes excessive amount of sugar in the blood staunches hormonal production and when suffering with blood pressure the hormone degradation in the body is increased leading to the scarcity of hormones.

9. Medications like antibiotics and pain relievers, when continued for long time may also result in the hormonal imbalance. Even the medicines used to treat liver problems also affect the hormone levels in the human body.

Hmmmmmm. Appreciate the post Lost Texnn .  Is this a news flash.  I bet I can find this in a Readers Digest from the 50's or a Playboy article from the 60's.  If somebody was paid for this then they should refund the $$$ or run south fast.

Shal we take a poll of how many of these factors can cause hormonal imbalances in us as individuals?  I'd say that 6 out of 9 affect me.

How do you test for this? And then how do you cure. I have so many of these issues.
