feeling below left rib?

I am 8 days post op, and am only eating pured foods. It seams like as soon as I take my first bite of food, I feel something right below my left rib. It is not a pain really but more like a full feeling, or like an upset stomach. Sometimes I get the same feeling with water. I know this is not where my pounch is so I go ahead and finish eating what I have premeasured out. Anyone know what this feeling is?

Call you Doc on this.  There many reason for this.  To much food and fluids at one time.  gas, upper intestine adjusting, ulcer developing on and on.  When we get a pain its important to follow up on it.

I am not trying to minimize your concern about your pain. But after my surgery, I had pains all over different parts of my abdomen, chest, back and side. Some of it happened when I tried to eat too much too fast.  Early on.. a quarter of a cup at at meal was about my limit.

I had the same pains you are having. Esp. if I Drank something cold. I was told by the doc that the area is will be sensitive to hot and cold. Still let you doc now but that was my esperience.
