Protein shakes do not lose potency during the day
I only have one brother but he is both a researcher/professor of food microbiology at Rutgers and he is also an elite athlete. He went to a gym to get targeted work done on his core and they told him that they don't have anyone who can train an elite ahtlete. I told him he should see if there's anyone in the athletic dept at Rutgers who can help him with his core workout.
I've heard a lot about bacteria over the years. My brother studies botulism in his lab. Most of his research deals with the safe handling of meat from the farm to the restaurant or home market. Yep, keep milk products refrigerated.
By the way, his other pet peeve is in the value of hand washing especially to avoid cross contamination. He gets frustrated knowing me since I tend to have a cavalier attitude regarding handling food. As an aside, several years ago I had to put ice on my leg. Rather than refilling the baggies with ice, I just kept them in the freezer between uses. He really freaked out when I did it at his house. He explained that the bacteria on the baggies can easily survive in the freezer. So, I learned the hard way.
