Never thought I'd have this problem, but...
anybody had issues with continuing to lose weight?? I hit goal a while back and continue to lose weight at a very slow pace. I've been rreally busy with work, school and family so I'm not exercising much. I eat almost the same thing every day: Kashi cereal with FF milk for breakfast, a small sandwich and baked chips for lunch, Lance peanut butter and cheese crackers for an afternoon snack and then whatever the wife cooks for dinner. I might do 2 Oreos or something similar for dessert before bed. That routine has kept me losing at a rate of about 5 pounds in the last 2 months. Everyone is starting to complain that I look too small and unhealthy. Anybody in a similar situation with advice?
I had the same problem. I added a ham and swiss sandwich on whole grain bread at bed time, not only does it give me protien and stop the weight loss, but it also helps me sleep.

I hit my and my doctor's goal of 190...and shot past it to 187. That scared the dickens out of me...thought I would end up in a rest home or something. I know exactly what you mean. Later I found out that my doctor's surgerical partner would have wanted me at 180 so go figure. When I hit 187 I started to freak out. I started to look like I came from a concentration camp of WWII. So I ate everything is sight...big mistake. I ate simple carbs, and sugar...again big mistake. Like others have said, slowly add more complex carbs to your diet. That really should help you maintain more and slow the weightloss. Brian PS Alot of it has to do with your bone size. I am a medium frame. If you are a medium or small frame it can be more acceptable.
I'd keep a close eye just incase.....When I was a year out, I too lost tooooooo much weight I looked so sick....I'm almost 4 years out and have gained some weight and look sooooo good!.....Ummmm, I know I do....LOL
Anyhow, my personal opinion is that the further you're out post op, the more one can eat.
Thanks for the replies. I've never been a milk drinker and can barely stomach fat free milk. There's no way I could keep whole milk down! I'll work in some complex carbs and protein shakes as snacks and see if that helps me level off. I'm tired of friends and coworkers who don't know about the surgery assuming I have cancer! I'm not ready for hospice people!!
