quick question
Work just informed me that they are ordering in today and that they are bringing in pizza today for a work lunch. That would have been fine if I brought my lunch today. I live not far and normally go home for lunch so I never bring it. Anyway they are bringing in pizza. I know I cannot eat a slice but what about just eating the topping off on one slice. Not sure what I should do. I guess I need to be more prepared with food for work. Bring in a pouch of tunna for emerg. or something. WIll to that for the future just not sure what to do now. I know one of the pizza they will get will just be mushroom, onion and red peppers so I fig that cannot be to bad for me. What do you all think.
I was able to eat some regular pizza at about 4 months out without issues, but gotta watch the toppings.
Looks like you're pretty close out so the cheese off one slice, with some vege or pepperoni if it's not too greasy could work... it wouldn't be low-fat, but would be fairly comparable to eating a piece of string cheese.
But if you're only weeks out... are you even to solid foods?

Below is a copy and paste that I wrote a few months ago...may help.
Ever since I started out on my WLS journey I always try to keep different foods in my car. The two main reasons for this is if I am stuck in the middle of nowhere I can have the food I need available. The other is if I ended up in the hospital, I know I will have the right food there (please do not assume the staff in the hospital knows anything about WLS and your dietary needs). You must be proactive on this area concerning the hospital.
I keep different nuts (small amounts of walnuts, almonds, dry roasted peanuts, roasted soy nuts, beef jerkey, and Cheerios. I also keep a can of vegetable beef soup there and my favorite protein bar (Rockin Roll...GNC). In the summer much of this will not keep, but during the rest of the year it is a security blanket for me. Brian PS Don't assume the hospital will have the right vitamins either...
