Friday Coffee Talk and Rather
Good Friday morning everyone!! Time to rise and shine! the weekend is almost here. WOO HOO!
Our rather for today is........."would you rather have more money, or more time"? In today's world, everything is fast fast fast and I need it now now now. Most will want to say more time, but a lot will say more money. If I had more money, people would come out of the wood work and I would give it away.......sooooooooooooo.............
Who's up this morning? What cha sippin' on? I'm enjoying some awesome vanilla cookie coffee and it sure is good too. Only thing missing is you, my friends to be here with me!

This is a really easy one for me. I'll take more money since I have plenty of time. I retired on disability in early July 1992 and have been receiving my retirement checks since Aug 1992. I don't have any responsibilities at home.
I recently tried doing some yard work while sitting in my rollator. I have difficulty with standing and balance. I was trimming bushes for 2 weeks and now I have bruises all over my body--bumps encircled with purplish skin. I've found that whenever I lean on something hard I bruise because I'm on blood thinners. I'll see my primary doc on Wed and see if I can do some of this if I'm not so enthusiastic about it.
My wife would have selected time last year but she's been unemployed since 01-01-09 and she now has plenty of time but only one job interview in that entire time. She works in insurance and we're not even in MI. But then again, if we won the lottery she wouldn't have to worry about money and she'd have all the time she needs as well as financial security.
Being laid off is not good but it's especially hard if you are in your 50s or older. There's not supposed to be age discrimination but how can you prove it? The prospective employers put so many questions in their applications that can indicate your age. I'm glad I don't have to do those on-line apps. My wife is generally patient and fairly computer competent but she gets frustrated filling them out.
