I found this at Wal mart, so way I found a pita bread and a wrap made by "Joseph's" The pita has 60 cal sper serving and the wrap has 50 cals. Here is the breakdown on the nuts. ( the only difference between the two are the 10 cals) It is made with Flax, Oat bran. and whole wheat flour.

wrap

50 cals  15 from fat
2 grams of fat
sat a 0g
trans fat 0g
cholesteral 0mg
sodium 260mg (a little high??)
total carps 7g
dietary fiber 3g = net carbs 4g

This seems like a win win to me people let me know if you see a negitive I am missing. I isn't wonder bread but it bets pain turkey all the time.

naw nothing really special done here. I usually jerk the fish (shutup Nick, lol) grill it and then into the pita. Or maybe some blackened Grouper.

I'll look for those.  We've been using Arnold sandwich thins for a while now.  They're good for sanwiches and burgers and even open face pizzas.

Not sure if it's the same name brand...but my local grocery store carries somthing very similar.  And I agree, they make for great pizzas.  I've even done a bootleg quesedilla with them (chicken, low fat cheese, pepers/onions).  Not bad.

Sounds good, Robert  ..

  Here is something I posted about on our DS forum earlier today ..   I don't know how compatible it is with the RNY or band diets, but it's something for us:

* * * * * *

This is a recipe that one of our members on the Yahoo DS revision newsgroup recently posted.  She remember it from her Scandinavian family, but had to translate the recipe she found into English (looks like she did a pretty good job) ..      Note that it is almost all nuts and seeds of different kinds, along with cottage cheese, for the "solids", with eggs (a lot  ), butter and cream for the "liquids", and NO flour in it ..  I would think, with those ingredients, it would be relatively low carb, too, although the nutritional info. isn't available ..  Looks very gouda!

 * * * * * *

Crisp Bread (or knekkebrød (norwegian) / Knäckebröd (swedish))

200 gram linseeds (chopped with a hand blender/stavemixer(?). Beware, these seeds may easily end up all over your kitchen)

50 gr hazelnuts

50 gr almonds

50 gr walnuts (Chop all the other nuts too)

50 gr oat bran (Not 100% sure this is what it's called. But what I mean is some small grainy brown stuff)

50 gr sesame seeds

2 teaspoons baking powder

A little salt

2 teaspoons Splenda (next time I'll skip this, I don't like my bread too sweet)

I mixed all the dry stuff in the Kenwood kitchen machine.

Then 1 dl cream whipped together with 50 gr melted butter.

And I used the blender to mix one box of Cottage Cheese (3dl) with 6 eggs, and finally I mixed everything together.

Then the dough is smeared onto baking plates, like this (this is almost a doubled version of the recipe, next time I'll make even more so it will cover the second plate completely too):

Bake in the oven for 35-45 min at 200 degrees.

When they are fresh out of the oven, I use the pizza wheel to cut out pieces.
Enjoy!

 btw, Robert ..  I don't know if you read where the guy that does the voice of the "Family Guy" got mugged right in the studio's parking lot in broad daylight last week by two guys.

  He's a short little fellow, and as he walked back from his car to the studio you see one guy come up from behind him (he was hiding behind a truck next to his car) and another come across from the other side of the parking lot to confront him, on the surv. camera.  They both grab him and throw him down to the ground.   I think one grabs his wallet out of his pocket, and then they both run off.

  Another surv cam/audio shows "Family Guy" yelling at one of their studio security guards back inside for not being there when the whole thing went down.   The guard laughs at him, as he thinks he's joking, but the dude knocks a table of food over, screams at him, and storms off ..

   Some desperados are getting pretty desperate out there, these days ..  Be careful!
