Spax?
Hello all. I am not sure how to search for an earlier discussion so I will just start a new topic. I was just wondering if there was a way to prevent so much saggy skin from happening after surgery. I have a few people in my family that has it done already and they all have really saggy belly's and arms. I thaught of spax or compression garmets. I was wondering if anyone has heard of these and used them or have any opinion on them?

With a BMI of 40.8 you are a relative lightweight. Also from your picture, you seem to carry your weight all over and not in one spot. You also seem pretty young. So based on all of that my guess is that if you don't have a major gut hangover now, you will be fine. If you look at my before photos you will see that we have similar builds although I am fifty-four. I have very little loose skin and it is not all all visible in normal clothing.

Yeah, I do spread out very evenly. I havn't had 1 person so far tell me that I actually look over 300 pounds. Although, in that picture, I was 4 years younger and 50 pounds lighter. So I don't look too bad there. My gut does hang down. From standing straight up, my tummy almost covers my belt buckle. So there is a good 3 or 4 inch hang there.
I wear wal mart brand compression garments. The tops and shorts are $10 each. I started just after surgery and have continued since. I have some loose skin, but when I tell people I have lost 200 lbs they say they would never have guessed. I don't know if it helped or not. May be even worse if I hadn't wore them, don't know.
